Areas of Intervention: Education, Integration
Friends of the world was created with the goal of bringing together children from around the globe, promoting a culture of peace and dialogue among the youngest, through the most common means of communication used by children: drawing.
An exchange of designs from all over the world, from Italy to Ethiopia, Siberia to Greenland, Nepal to Peru, illustrates their cultures, traditions, histories and landscapes.
The other aspect to the “home” project is its role in education, developing a child’s ability to listen and enabling them to understand the realities facing children from unknown cultures. By encountering other cultures, exchanging values, habits and traditions, children are less resistant to diversity, and can understand the importance and the beauty inherent to different cultures, and commit themselves to supporting the survival of these peoples.
